As an act of resurrection love and worshipful stewardship in place, fellows are integrated into the life of urban-agrarian initiatives and local farms and homesteads. This effort weaves fellows into an ongoing, local vision for creation care that is whole, incorporating both city and countryside; offers a training in agrarian art that can be implemented in various settings; and cultivates the practice of creation stewardship in place, in communion with neighbors and as an act of worship and liturgy of love. On days of agrarian work, lunch is provided by those for whom the fellows work. 

As a liturgy weaving together imagination, contemplation, and love, fellows are immersed in a hoard of literature during their time in the program. This literature cultivates the eyes of the heart to see beyond what is merely seen, to imagine afresh the reality in which we live and so live more intently within it. In communion with one another and in discussion, these twice-weekly roundtables are meant to ignite fires of faith, hope, and love in fellows’ hearts and hands.

For one hour a week, fellows meet one-to-one with a Guide, who acts as a mentor, to “keep watch.” As a liturgy weaving together imagination, contemplation, and love, Vigils aid fellows in staying awake along the path and cultivate watchfulness, prayer, and a life of resurrection love from the heart and ultimately from the soil of the resurrected Christ. Fellows are required to keep a creative journal over their time in the program, and this journal becomes wood for the Vigil fire. 

Fellows spend a dedicated four hours at the confluence of solitude and prayer each week, in two, two-hour blocks. This time helps to cultivate liturgies of contemplation and imagination away from the distracted, the hectic, and the exploitative. Once a week, a three-and-a-half hour time is set apart for the confluence of solitude, prayer, and creative expression, where fellows are to create from that confluence, whether pieces of creative writing, paintings, music, or the like. These creative expressions form the logs on the Vigil fire and also are to be shared and discussed at the community potluck. 

Fellows participate in a mid-week, community potluck involving all members of the College Fellowship, including those neighbors whom the fellows work among. The dinner is an invitation for fellows to enter an ongoing dialogue on how imagination, placedness, and worship enflesh themselves in the lives of the members of our place. 

After dinner and discussion at the community potluck, the community gathers around the Word Fire, where a story is told as a liturgy of imagination, to reenchant the world, to help us stay awake, to help us see beyond the apparent. The midweek evening finishes in roundtable discussion and prayer.
